The falls are in Murchison Falls National Park. The hike to the top is not only a hike. It is part of a thrilling safari. The hike is short (45 minutes), but it offers a thrilling experience. You walk along explosive falls. They formed when the River Nile squeezes through a 7 meter gap between rocks.

Virunga Mountains (Volcanoes): A Trilogy of Adventure

Uganda shares three of the eight main volcanoes of the Virunga Mountains. They offer great day hikes with some of the best views in Africa. These mountains are a habitat for rare wildlife. They include Mountain Gorillas, Golden Monkeys, special birds, and mountain plants.

Mgahinga (3474m) is a smaller mountain between Muhavura and Sabinyo. It offers a shorter and easier hike, with a larger crater lake at the summit.
Sabinyo (3645m): It sits on the border of Uganda, Rwanda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Sabinyo is the hardest of the three. But it offers the best views of the Virungas. Its three peaks look like spaced teeth.
