This day involves our first major drive away from the bustle of Kampala as we head to Murchison Falls National Park (MFNP). On the way, we make a few stops as follows:
Spend the day exploring Murchison Falls National Park:
Set off for Kibale Forest National Park through impressive natural scenery. On the way, we will stopover for Lunch at a local restaurant as well as a visit to the Bunyoro Palace and Royal Tombs. On arrival in Kibale Forest National Park, you can relax as we prepare for yet another adventure the following day.
Trek through Kibale Forest following Chimpanzees and other rare primates while also catching glimpses of rare bird and insect species.
If you still have energy after your trek though the forest, please let your tour guide know that you are interested in either or both of the following optional activities.
Today we head to the breath taking Queen Elizabeth National Park (QENP). On the way, we will make a few stops as follows:
Start the day with a locally guided morning game drive to spot wildlife. Make sure to try and see if you can see the other 4 members of the big 5.
The day is topped off with an afternoon boat safari along the Kazinga Channel.
We head to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park (BINP). This is home to more than half of the worlds remaining wild Mountain Gorillas.
On the way, we will pass through the Ishasha Sector, home to the only tree climbing lions in the world.
Today promises to be the experience of a lifetime. We will trek and follow a family of gorillas through the forest with the aid of several rangers. This will culminate in us observing these gentle giants going about their day to day life.
After the trek, we will visit and indigenous tribe called “The Batwa” or the keepers of the forest. The Batwa have until recently lived in the forest alongside the gorillas. Their traditional way of life had little or no environmental impact and ensured the harmonious survival for the forest for the past few thousand years,
Enjoy yet another 200 Km drive through the winding hills as we head to Nshenyi Cultural Village. We will arrive just in time for traditional lunch of the Ankole people.
After lunch, we will be given the chance to engage in the traditions and way of life of the Ankole.
The day will culminate in a homestay experience where we will stay overnight in a controlled traditional Ankole household.

To get the most of this day, we need to set off early as the journey back to the hustle and bustle of Kampala and Entebbe is quite a long one (340 KM).
