Today we head to the breath taking Queen Elizabeth National Park (QENP). On the way, we will make a few stops as follows:

  • Visit a local community that is partly supported by visitors like yourself each time you book a tour with us. Your holiday ensures these communities thrive.
  • We will walk through the Community visiting different initiatives they have set up to support themselves. If you see a souvenir you think is worth taking home, this is one of the best chances to grab it without having to pay a middle man for bringing it to the city for you.
  • We will also stopover for lunch.
  • Finally, we will visit the twin crater lakes.

Day 8Queen Elizabeth National Park (QENP) Game drive and Boat Cruise

Start the day with a locally guided morning game drive to spot wildlife. Make sure to try and see if you can see the other 4 members of the big 5.
The day is topped off with an afternoon boat safari along the Kazinga Channel.

Day 9Transfer From Queen Elizabeth National Park (QENP) to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park (BIFNP)

We head to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park (BINP). This is home to more than half of the worlds remaining wild Mountain Gorillas.

On the way, we will pass through the Ishasha Sector, home to the only tree climbing lions in the world.

Day 10Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park (BIFNP)

Today promises to be the experience of a lifetime. We will trek and follow a family of gorillas through the forest with the aid of several rangers. This will culminate in us observing these gentle giants going about their day to day life.

After the trek, we will visit and indigenous tribe called “The Batwa” or the keepers of the forest. The Batwa have until recently lived in the forest alongside the gorillas. Their traditional way of life had little or no environmental impact and ensured the harmonious survival for the forest for the past few thousand years,

Day 11Transfer From Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (BIFNP) to Nshenyi Cultural Village

Enjoy yet another 200 Km drive through the winding hills as we head to Nshenyi Cultural Village. We will arrive just in time for traditional lunch of the Ankole people.

After lunch, we will be given the chance to engage in the traditions and way of life of the Ankole.

The day will culminate in a homestay experience where we will stay overnight in a controlled traditional Ankole household.

Day 12Nshenyi Cultural Village Homestay

The homestay continues for another day. Today’s activities might include:

  • Cattle Herding.
  • Storytelling
  • Traditional dances
  • Food Preparation
  • Traditional Folklore
  • Local customs and daily life

The day will wind up with one more homestay night.

Day 13Transfer to Entebbe Through Lake Mburo National Park (LMNP)

To get the most of this day, we need to set off early as the journey back to the hustle and bustle of Kampala and Entebbe is quite a long one (340 KM).

  • On the journey back, there is one major gem to explore: Lake Mburo National Park (LMNP). Here you will enjoy a safari walk and get to see the stunning wildlife up-close.
  • We will also stop at the Equator, a popular photo-stop and rest area for coffee and a quick lunch before proceeding to our destination.
  • There is the option to Join a Yoga class for those interested. (Optional)
  • Don’t forget to let the driver know if you see any curios or souvenirs you might be interested in. This will probably be one of the last chances you will have to purchase these cheaply before we are back in Kampala.
