Tour Plan

Day 1 Arrival and transfer to the hotel
  • Upon your arrival, you will drive to the hotel for relaxation, meals and the night as you prepare for the next day’s activities. Stay at Serena golf resort for luxury and Kaazi beach resort for mid-range.

Day 2 Kampala City Tour & Ndere Cultural Experience
  • After enjoying breakfast at your lodge, your driver will pick you up from your accommodation to start an exciting day of exploring Kampala. Begin by visiting key landmarks, including the Kabaka's Palace and Buganda Palace, which offer deep insights into the history of the Buganda Kingdom, followed by the serene Baha’is Temple, a spiritual retreat offering beautiful views and tranquil gardens, You will also visit Gadhafi mosque.
  • After a morning of discovery, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, sampling authentic Ugandan cuisine.
  • After lunch, your city tour will continue with visits to Gaddafi Mosque, one of Uganda’s largest mosques with a panoramic view of Kampala, and the bustling Nakasero Market and Owino Market (Balikuddembe). These vibrant markets offer everything from fresh produce and traditional crafts to unique souvenirs and African attire. After shopping and exploring the markets, you’ll head to Ndere Cultural Centre in the evening for a cultural treat.
  • Evening: The day culminates with a visit to Ndere Cultural Troupe, where you’ll enjoy an immersive experience of Uganda’s rich cultural heritage through traditional music, dance, storytelling, and folklore. This evening performance showcases Uganda’s diverse tribes and their traditions, bringing the country's cultural essence to life.

Day 3 Kampala to Jinja - Ssezibwa Falls, Mabira Forest Walk & Source of the Nile Boat Cruise. (Approx. 87km)
  • After an early morning breakfast, you'll meet your tour leader for a briefing before setting off for Jinja along the Kampala-Jinja Highway (approximately 85 km). Along the way, you’ll make a stop at Ssezibwa Falls, where you'll learn about the rich cultural significance of these scenic waterfalls and capture some memorable photos.
  • Continue your journey to Mabira Forest, a stunning natural reserve teeming with diverse birdlife, primates, and unique tree species. Here, you'll embark on a guided nature walk through the forest, keeping an eye out for various birds, butterflies, and forest animals.
  • After the forest walk, resume your journey to Jinja, passing extensive tea and sugarcane plantations en route. Upon arrival in Jinja, you'll have lunch at a local restaurant before heading out for an afternoon boat cruise on the Nile River. This tranquil cruise will take you to the Source of the Nile, with an opportunity to visit Samuka Island, a haven for bird watching. Day 4 White Water Rafting & Transfer to Mount Elgon National Park (Approx. 150km)
  • Start your day with an early morning breakfast before heading out for an exciting day of white water rafting on the Nile. After a safety briefing, you'll embark on a thrilling adventure through different rapids, navigating the powerful waters of the river. For those who prefer alternative activities, options like horseback riding around $70 per person, kayaking around $150 per person, or even bungee jumping at around $120 are available.
  • After the adrenaline-filled rafting adventure, you'll enjoy a well-deserved late lunch before checking out of your hotel.
  • In the afternoon you will begin your journey to Mount Elgon National Park in Eastern Uganda, a journey through scenic landscapes and rural villages. On arrival, you will check into your lodge for relaxation, dinner and the night. Stay at Mount Elgon hotel and spa for luxury and Sipi valley resort for mid-range.

Day 5 Hiking through Sipi Falls Trail and Community Experience
  • After breakfast, you will hike through the Sipi Falls trail system, enjoying breathtaking views of the cascading waterfalls. Return back to your lodge for lunch and after lunch you will learn about local coffee farming through a guided coffee tour in nearby villages. For adventurous souls, experience abseiling down the falls (optional). Engage with the Sabiny and Bagishu communities to experience their unique culture. Later on return to your accommodation for relaxation, dinner and the night.

Day 6 Journey to Kidepo Valley National Park (Approx. 409.5km)
  • After enjoying breakfast, you will set off for Kidepo Valley National Park, passing through Karamoja, Uganda’s northeast region. Along the way, visit local markets to see vibrant cultural displays of traditional craftsmanship. You will have lunch along the way at a local restaurant and after lunch you will drive up to Kidepo Valley National Park.
  • Arrive in the evening and check into the lodge for relaxation, dinner and the night. Stay at Apoka safari lodge for luxury and Kidepo savanna lodge for both mid-range.

Day 7 Nature walk and Game drive
  • After an early morning breakfast, you will begin your day with a nature walk, immersing yourself in Kidepo valley National park’s breathtaking scenery. Guided by experienced rangers, discover the park’s diverse flora and fauna. Enjoy lunch at your lodge.
  • After lunch, embark on a game drive, where you can spot giraffes, elephants, buffalos and zebras against the stunning savannah backdrop.

Day 8 Game drive and Cultural encounter
  • Enjoy breakfast and spend the morning on another thrilling game drive, exploring Kidepo’s rugged terrain. Visit the Kidepo River, a lifeline for the park’s incredible wildlife. After enjoying this wonderful experience, you will return back to your lodge for lunch and some relaxation.
  • Later on you will delve into the local culture by visiting the Karamajong community. Learn about their traditional practices, vibrant customs and resilience.
  • Engage with their friendly locals, sharing stories and laughter. Later on you will return back to your lodge for dinner and the beautiful night.

Day 9 Transfer to Murchison Falls (Approx. 314.3km)
  • After breakfast, depart Kidepo and travel to Murchison Falls National Park via Gulu. Enjoy a scenic drive through Northern Uganda’s plains, stopping for lunch en route. Upon arrival, check in to your lodge and rest in preparation for upcoming adventures in the park.

Day 10 Murchison Falls NP (Game drive, Boat Trip and Hiking to the top of the falls)
  • Begin your day early with a thrilling morning game drive, offering the best opportunity to observe wildlife when they are most active.
  • As you traverse the Nyamsika Plateau, keep our eyes peeled for sightings of Cape buffalos, giraffes, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, and heartbeats, among other fascinating species.
  • Return to your accommodation for a hearty breakfast, replenishing your energy for the day ahead. Later, embark on a scenic boat cruise along the Nile, providing a unique perspective to observe aquatic animals such as crocodiles and hippos basking along the riverbanks. Marvel at the diverse birdlife, including kingfishers, cormorants, saddle-bill storks, the rare shoebill stork, pelicans, bee-eaters, Egyptian geese, and the majestic Goliath heron, among others.
  • After the boat cruise, return to your hotel for a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, you will embark on a hike to the top of the falls for a breathtaking view and the opportunity to capture stunning photos, including the rainbow created by the cascading water.
  • Following your visit to the falls, return to your lodge for dinner and a beautiful night.

Day 11 Boomu Women’s group visit, Transfer to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and Rhino Trekking experience (Approx.148km)
  • After enjoying an early morning breakfast at your lodge, you will visit Boomu women’s group. Upon arrival at Boomu, you will participate in different activities like farm practices, craft making lessons, storytelling, music, dance and drama, among others. You will enjoy lunch and after lunch you will drive to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Upon your arrival, you will embark on a unique opportunity to encounter rhinos, one of the Big Five.
  • Engage in a rhino tracking activity that will immerse you in the beauty of these magnificent creatures.
  • After that rewarding experience which lasts for 2-3 hours, you will check into your lodge for relaxation, dinner and the beautiful night. Stay at Amuka safari lodge.

Day 12 Transfer to Entebbe with an en route visit to Kanyanda at Ewaka community (Approx. 205km)
  • After enjoying breakfast, you will transfer from your Ziwa Rhino to Kampala with an en route visit to Kanyanda at Ewaka community where you'll visit Ewaka community project, a project under the Kanyanda Women and Youth Initiative. Here, you'll take part in an immersive local food preparation experience and also interact with the locals. Afterwards, you will enjoy a meal featuring the local dishes you helped prepare. After enjoying lunch, you will participate in planting indigenous trees on Ewaka farm.
  • After this enriching day of cultural and educational exchange, you'll drive to Entebbe and upon your arrival in Entebbe, you will check into your accommodation for dinner and the beautiful night. Stay at Jet villas Eco lodge for luxury and Papyrus guest house for mid-range.

Day 13 Entebbe Botanical gardens and Sunset Boat Cruise.
  • After enjoying breakfast at your lodge, you will visit the Entebbe botanical gardens and explore the beautiful gardens, home to various plant species, birds, and monkeys, take a leisurely walk through the gardens, enjoying the serene atmosphere. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
  • Following lunch, unwind with a breathtaking sunset boat cruise on Lake Victoria. Watch the sky turn golden as the sun dips below the horizon, creating unforgettable moments.
