Our Story
Alpha Adventure Safaris was born out of a serendipitous moment in 2007 during the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Uganda. What began as a one-day gig for Albert Peter Ssemakula, stepping in to drive visitors around, turned into a life-changing experience. Albert and his wife Nilly noticed a significant disconnect between tourists and the local communities in Uganda's tourist hotspots. This realization sparked the idea of creating a tour company that not only showcases the beauty of East Africa but also fosters meaningful connections between visitors and local communities. In 2014, Alpha Adventure Safaris was officially registered as a tour operator. Since then, we have grown to offer tours in four countries and over 50 destinations, engaging more than 70 unique communities. Our journey has been one of passion, dedication, and a deep commitment to creating unforgettable experiences for our guests.
Our Name
The name Alpha Adventure Safaris reflects our core values and aspirations: Alpha: We strive to be leaders in the industry, continuously growing and maintaining our position as the strongest and most dominant in the field. Adventure: We pride ourselves on providing unique, tailor-made adventures that range from serene nature walks to adrenaline-pumping activities like white water rafting on the Nile. Safaris: Our focus is on delivering an authentic African experience, guided by locals who know the land intimately.
